Cerrone, Gina, known to most as “Mama Stella” passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 13, 2016. She is the owner of Stella Ristorante of Floral Park for 56 years. Born in Italy on October 6, 1918. The oldest of thirteen children. She is pre-deceased by her husband Giuseppe and her daughter, Maria Luisa. She is survived by her children Anna (Pasquale), Elsa (Tom), Enza (Vincenzo) and Peter (Claire), 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and three siblings. She left a legacy that will live forever in the hearts of her family and all who knew her. Family and friends may call Thursday 2-5 & 7-9:30 pm at Thomas F.Dalton Funeral Home, 29 Atlantic Avenue, Floral Park, NY. Funeral Mass Friday 10:30 am at Our Lady of Victory RC Church. Entombment at Holy Rood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital in Gina’s memory would be appreciated by her family.
