Patricia Collins

Patricia A. Collins (Pfeiffer) 82 of Westbury passed away  at Fulton Commons Care Center on Saturday April 22, 2017. She was born Aug. 5, 1934. Patricia lived in Westbury almost her entire adult life with her husband of more than 60 years, Joseph W. Collins. Patricia was born in New York, daughter of the late Joseph and Ana Pfeiffer.

Pat is survived by her sons Joseph (Pete) and wife Carol, Farmingdale, NY: John and wife Mary, Lehighton, PA: and James and wife Jari, Breinigsville, PA: as well as six grandchildren,  John and wife Ali, Kyle, Mary Grace, Joey, McKenzie and Danny. Patricia-now in the peaceful presence of God is the only family member aware of the gender of her first great-grandchild due in July.

Pat and Joe loved to travel. She Kept a recently discovered journal of her cross-country retirement adventure with Joe. They also shared had a once in a lifetime Alaskan adventure. Pat loved sitting in her kitchen watching all kinds of birds come to the feeders she placed outside her window. She would always welcome her family and friends to sit and chat, always with a kind word, smile and a hearty laugh.

She was particularly proud of all her grandchildren, and would joyfully tell you about each and every one in her own special “Gramma” way.

Patricia was a member of St. Stephens Lutheran Church.

Friends may visit at Dalton Funeral Home, 47 Jerusalem Ave.,Hicksville on Wednesday April 26th from 2-5 and 7-9 PM.

After a brief service at 10:00 am on Thursday April, 27th at St. Stephens Church, 270 S. Broadway, Hicksville, NY  11801, burial will be at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd.,Calverton, NY  11933
