Arnold gave love, an abundance of love to those around him. He is one of the most loving, and caring persons which I'm sure if you know him you'll agree.
Arnold Shiwnarain was born on May 17, 1958, in Triumph Village, East Cost Demerara, Guyana to Louis and Edith Shiwnarain. He was the seventh-child in a family of four daughters and six sons. Arnold was never married and had no children, but was very popular with his nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws by whom he is dearly missed.
Arnold attended St. Peters RC primary School in Triumph and then qualified to attend Annandale Secondary where he obtained his O-Levels. After graduating Secondary school Arnold went to work for Guyana Airways for a few years, and then migrated to New York in 1984 where he began his career at Time Warner, and most recently at Citi Connect.
He enjoyed the simplest things in life, such as cooking and entertaining his family and friends, traveling to visit his family and also spreading the word of God. Arnold was notorious for his home-made carrot cake, but also believed that he made the best fried chicken, fried rice and chow-mein.
For the last six years, Arnold became very devout in his faith and attended church regularly. He share his beliefs with his family on social media by sending them scripture verses every morning, inspirational quotes, and reminders to religious services.
Arnold was a hard worker who worked until two days before his death. He will be remembered as a kind and generous person whose work ethics and loyalty were unmatched.
He will be missed by his loving family, friends, and his colleagues.
