Barbara Ann Jones

Jones, Barbara Ann (Dunn), of Douglaston, passed away peacefully in her sleep, at the age of 63, on Sunday, April 25, 2021. She was born in Hollis, NY on April 20, 1958. Barbara is survived by her loving, devoted husband and partner of 40 years, Michael Jones. She is also survived by her two sons, Ryan and Chris Jones, who were her pride and joy, and her daughter-in-law to be, Danielle Albanese. Barbara, a beloved family member and friend, also leaves behind her mother-in-law, June Jones, her sister-in-law, Pamela Murphy (Jones), sister, Nancy Shea (Dunn) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. All of whom she loved and touched deeply. 

Barbara was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She had a vivacious personality and she made friends wherever she went. 

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Barbara loved the beach. She would relish in the sun, sand, and salty air for hours. It was her calm, happy place. 

For 35 years, Barbara worked at East Hills Pharmacy in Roslyn Heights. She was loved by both her coworkers and customers who always grew to be lifelong friends. 

Barbara is predeceased by her father, Richard Dunn, mother, Alice Schwartz (Jackowski), brother, Tommy Dunn, and step-father, Lester Schwartz. 

 She was loved by all who knew her and will greatly missed. 

A memorial service will be held at Dalton Funeral Home at 125 Hillside Ave., North New Hyde Park on Thursday, April 29th from 4-7pm with a prayer service to begin at 5:15pm.
