Passed away on March 23, 2023. Son of John and Emma Crowley. Beloved husband for over 65 years of Josephine (nee Finn). Loving Father to Helena McKenna (Stephen), Edward (Evelyn) Arthur (predeceased) Charlene. Cherished Grandfather to Clare (Eric), Evan (Amanda), Glenn (Sierra), Mark (Elizabeth), James, Brian, Alyssa, Briana, great granddaughter Saoirse.

Ed was born and raised in Brooklyn with several years on a family farm in Babylon, Long Island. Ed was a proud St. Johns University graduate He spent his career in Education at East Rockaway School District. Starting as a teacher with a passion for History, he rose to District Administration positions.

As a Veteran of the US Army, he served in Iceland for several years.   He was a Grand Knight of the K of C Council #4478 in Callicoon NY. He rose to Faithful Navigator, 4th Degree of the George Cooke Assembly #0722. He was an active member of St. Christopher’s Church, Maryland and Holy Cross Church Callicoon, NY.

He shared his interest in sailing with his family for many years as member of the Seawane Yacht club and his love of adventure involved him in Boy Scouts and travel with his friends. He is fondly known for his slide shows of Ireland.

He was until a resident of Kent Narrows, MD and Callicoon, NY. Just recently Ed and Jo moved back to Long Island where they began their married life together.
