Elaine L. Anderson

ANDERSON – Elaine, L. (nee

Conlin) of Westbury, born on September 2, 1927, passed away with her family by her side on October 3, 2018. 

Elaine was the beloved wife of her MHS sweetheart, the late Albert (Al) ’41. Loving mother of Al (Diane Proctor) & James (Jennifer Gandolfo).   Proud grandmother to Heather, Katie, Lauren, and John.  Great-grandmother to Jack, Luke, JJ, Chase, Maddie, Ava, Olivia & Gianna, and the late Jamie, Retired in the mid 80”s from the Medical Records Department of NUMC .

Elaine had a penmanship that was second-to-non and put it to use authoring letters, notes, poems and cards of encouragement, humor and gratitude to the special people in her life.  A long time member of the Parkway Community Church, Elaine served as an usher, greeter and at 90, worked at their Annual Pumpkin Sale!  She was an avid reader, a regular at the East Meadow Library, loved doing crossword puzzles, and was happiest when surrounded by her family and friends. 

She will be missed by many, but her legacy and memory will live on.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Parkway Community Church, 95 Stewart Ave.  Hicksville, NY, 11801 or Hospice Inn, 70 Pinelawn Rd., Melville, NY 11747
