Elizabeth Levins, 93, passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021.
Her final days were spent surrounded by her family. Elizabeth was the daughter
of James and Catherine (Gould) Abbamont. She grew up in Bronx, NY, and
raised her family in Hicksville, LI, NY. She was predeceased by her beloved
husband William to whom she was married for 55 1/2 years; one Grandson,
Michael Allan Wolf; three Brothers, James, Gerard (Theresa), and Joseph (Heidi);
three Sisters, Catherine (Louis) Farina, Anna (Frank) Brokhoff, and Rita (Robert)
Handy, and Sister-in-law, Carol Levins. Elizabeth leaves behind her four children,
Maureen (Michael) Wolf, Robert (Gloria) Levins, Margaret (Robert) Ural, and
Michael (Donna) Levins; 16 Grandchildren, with another on the way, one Great-
Great Granddaughter, brother, Deacon Thomas (Frances) Abbamont,
Sister-in-law Grace (James) Abbamont, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Elizabeth, a lifelong parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church, devoted
herself to many things throughout her life, taking on many roles. Whether it be
golfing, having coffee/tea with her neighbors, volunteering in the schools and
various programs and activities while her children were growing up, or actively playing
with her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, she shared her knowledge and
passion for life with all who knew her. She treated her friends as family and her
family was the center of her world. Elizabeth was dearly loved by all who knew
her and will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to
The American Stroke Association or The American Heart Association.
