Ernesto L Belette

Ernesto L Belette passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 82 on Tuesday, June 22nd 2021. He was born in Antilla, Oriente, Cuba. He was the youngest of 5 children born to Ernesto and Rosa Belette. Ernesto and his family immigrated to the United States in 1969 and has lived in Hicksville since 1970. He was the beloved husband of Juana for 38 years until her passing in 1998. He never got over the death of his beloved wife and couldn’t wait to be reunited with her. He is survived by 3 out of his 4 sisters. He is the loving father of Francisco (Ivette) Belette, Ana (John) O’Brien, and Juana (late Kevin) Preiss. Dear Grandfather of Veronica Preiss, Anthony Dionisio, Thomas Preiss, Allison Belette, Nicholas Preiss, Michael O’Brien, and Frank Belette.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He will be dearly missed by his family.
