Francis B. Madden

November 10, 1935 ~ November 16, 2021 (age 86)


Francis Bernard Joseph Madden, age 86 passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021 at Winthrop Hospital. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 10, 1935, the son of James and Nora Madden. He graduated from Bushwick High School.  He started a career in the factoring industry at Meinhart Corporation where he met Marie P. Crocetto.  They were married in 1957 and had two children. Marie passed away in 1993.  Frank is survived by his sister, Lora O’Neill, his two children, Ann Madden Pike and Francis J. Madden, and their spouses Dana Pike and Marilyn Madden and five grandchildren Lauren Pike Peek, Kathryn Madden, Connor Pike, Brian Madden and Matthew Pike.  Frank is also survived by his second wife, Judy and her two children Elise Hanley (Christopher Ashley) and Thomas Hanley (Christina.) He worked over 40 years in the finance business until his retirement.  Francis was a phenomenal father, a fantastic grandfather and a friend to all who came to know him. He was short in statue but had a tremendous heart.  He will be greatly missed. The wake is at Dalton Funeral Home, located at 29 Atlantic Avenue, Floral Park, NY 11001, on Friday November, 19 2021 from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, and the funeral mass is at Church of St. Anne, located at 35 Dartmouth Street, Garden City, NY 11530 on Saturday November 20, 2021 at 11:00 am. The Interment will be immediately following at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY 11735.
