We are sad to share that we have lost a great sister, partner, family member and friend unexpectedly. Judy Torre was loved by so many, and we are all very sad and struggling with this sudden loss.

Judy has been with her life partner Midge Mackelduff for over 40 years. Judy started life in Queens, grew up in Baldwin, and lived with Midge in Floral Park since they got together as a couple.

Judy found her life passion as a Senior Move Manager, helping older adults transition into their next phase of life whether it be a new home or a facility of some type. As a Senior Move Manager Judy helped hundreds of people make this transition, and she is loved and highly regarded by so many of them. One of the folks she helped nicknamed her Saint Judy because she cared so much, was incredibly compassionate and would do almost anything to help someone.

Fishing, the beach, and spending time with friends and family were some of Judy’s favorite things.
 

Judy is preceded in death by her parents Virginia and Lou Torre. She is survived by many that loved her deeply – long time life partner Midge Mackelduff, her brother Tom Torre, sister-in-law Pam Torre, nieces Anna Torre and Julia Torre, and cousins that were like siblings John and Kathy Tierney, Barbara and Doug Muzzio, and Carol Govatos.

A celebration of life will be held at Dalton Funeral Home in Floral Park at 29 Atlantic Avenue on Sunday October, 15th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
