Louis J Matinale

Lou Matinale, beloved husband and father of three and GIANT in the lives of everyone he touched, passed away on September 6, 2023 at the age of 61.  Lou was born, raised, and lived most of his life in Queens, New York, and most recently lived in Bellerose Village.  He was a dedicated CPA and entrepreneur.

Lou met his devoted wife, Dorothy, 41 years ago at Sterns, where they worked together.  They have been married for 36 years and raise three amazing children, Mark, Andrew, and Dorothy Ann.  He was a committed father and loving dog-dad to Dumpy, CoCo, Leo, and Drake.  He was also an avid and enthusiastic sports fan (Go Giants, Yankees, Rangers, & Knicks!).

Lou was loved by everyone he encountered.  He had the biggest heart and loved his family immensely.  He was a wonderful man: the best husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin, nephew, and godfather ever, and a friend to all.

Lou left a lasting impression, and his passing is a loss, not only to those who knew him well, but  to all.  He will be missed.
