Margaret Ligouri Pappas

Margaret Ligouri Pappas 83 formerly of Garden City passed away on Wednesday March 8th, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. 
 A devoted mother of 6 and wife of Thomas Patrick Pappas, Margaret was born on May 8th, 1939, to Helen Agamemnon and James McEvoy of Astoria, Queens. 
 After graduating from high school, Margaret worked as a secretary but soon thereafter met someone she would spend the rest of her life with; her soul mate Thomas P. Pappas. 
 They met in 1955, wed in 1958 and went on to have six children: Thomas, Kathleen, Lisa, David, Michael, and James. 
 Margaret dedicated her life to being a wonderful mother and loving wife. She excelled at motherhood; was the foundation of the family and a supportive wife to her husband. They were a terrific team.  Margaret imbued in all her children a strong sense of faith and a love and respect for God. She was nurturing, encouraging, supportive and Kind. 
 She is going to be Missed by All, especially her 6 adult children, because she was always there when they needed her. 
 She is survived by her 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren lucky enough to have experienced her unconditional love.
