Mary Egan

Mary (McHale) Egan was born July 7, 1935 in Foxford, County Mayo, Ireland.  She emigrated to the United States at the age of 19 and settled in New York.  She married George A Egan Jr in 1967 and had two beloved sons, Joseph and John.  She had a long career as an Executive Assistant at Exxon Mobil and St. John’s University.  While at St.John’s, she earned Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Liberal Arts becoming the first person in her family to earn a college degree.  Proud member of Our Lady of the Snows Parish and the Irish American Society.  She is survived by her sons Joseph and John, daughters-in-law Gina and Amy, and grandchildren Matthew, Mikayla, Abigail, and Emily.
