Peter Ramos was a dedicated father and husband. He spent 30 years working as a Court Interpreter for the NYC courts system and served as a supervisor for many of those years. In his free time he volunteered as a coach for many youth sports including baseball, football, basketball and volleyball. During his college years he was a member of ASPIRA New York. As a young man he was civically engaged serving on the Shepherd Avenue Block Association, East New York Community Board, and the board of Sunset Park’s Women Shelter. He was an avid adventurer and never met a roller coaster he didn’t like. He loved to travel and enjoyed the simple pleasures of a well cooked steak and a piña colada. He is survived by his wife Nuris Ramos and his three children: Heather, Dario and Justin. He will be sorely missed; however, his spirit is alive and well in our hearts and minds.
