MILLUS, Rosemary Ann- June 20, 1933-February 15, 2019 Rosemary A. Millus, 85, born in Jamaica, Queens, passed peacefully in Cumming, Georgia with family by her side this past Friday. She was the loving wife of the late Albert J. Millus, Mother to Steven, Paul (Nancy), Robert (Phyllis), Richard (decd.), Lawrence (Lisa), and Susan Zereini (nee Millus) (Tarik). She was also Grandmother to William, Michael, Matthew, Mary (decd.), Nicholas, Joseph, Marc, Peter, Joseph, James and Emma.
Rosemary Millus worked as a Psychiatric Nurse at Kings County Hospital. In addition to being a devoted mother, she developed a love of politics becoming a Republican Committeewomen and District Leader in the 44th A.D. in Brooklyn. She served as a Delegate at three National Republican Conventions and was elected as a New York Elector in the Electoral College supporting President Ronald Reagan in 1984. She went appointed to serve as a Commissioner with the NYC Board of Elections. While serving with the Board, she was appointed as Director of Election Day Operations. Thereafter, she was appointed by then Mayor Rudolph Giuliani as the Director on the Commission of the Status of Women.
She will be reposing at Dalton’s Funeral Home, 29 Atlantic Avenue, Floral Park, NY on February 19th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 10:30 a.m., Church of Our Lady of Victory, 2 Floral Parkway, Floral Park, NY. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Fresh Meadows, NY
