William Michael Kennedy passed away Saturday October 2, in Franklin Square, New York. William was one of seven children and grew up in a large, loving family proud of his Irish heritage. William served in the United States Army overseas during the early 1960’s. He worked for Chemical Bank for 27 years.  He volunteered for the Nassau County Auxiliary Police and the Garden City South Little League. William was predeceased by his father, Simon Kennedy and mother, Margaret Healy Kennedy. William is survived by his children Ellen Kennedy Attanasio, Sean Kennedy and Patrick Kennedy, daughter-in-law Catherine Maccio, and grandchildren Jack and Cara Attanasio.   The youngest of seven siblings he is survived by his brothers James Kennedy (Eileen) and Denis Kennedy (Veronica) His sisters, Sheila Kennedy Cherico, Margaret (Peggy) Kennedy Don, Maureen Kennedy Reisert, and Patricia Kennedy Groonell predeceased him. He was also a special uncle to many of his nieces and nephews, including: William Cherico (Anne), Antonette Cherico Maldonato (Phillip), Brian Cherico (Patrice), and Peter Cherico (Sara), David (Frank), Denis, and Paul Don, Margaret Don Batalas (Sakis); Patricia, Simon C., James Kennedy, Jr., and Kerry Kennedy McBride (Daniel); Sheila Reisert Keenan, Robert, and Ryan Reisert (Jodi), James Groonell Jr., and Denise and Michael Kennedy. A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 24, 2021 from 2:00PM to 5:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations in William Kennedy’s memory to Tunnel to Towers Foundation: https://t2t.org/
