She was devoted to education, graduating from Chapin School, Wellesley College (B.A.) and American University (Masters), and later teaching at St. Agnes and Friends Academy. Janet was an accomplished author, most notably The Boathouse (2001), and loved to sing and play piano. Janet was an active member of Christ Church, where the friendships she made were indicative of how she connected with others in all facets of her life. She will be greatly missed.
