Margaret (Peggy) McCarthy (nee Healy), 90, of Bethpage, passed away peacefully at her home on June 17, 2022. She lived a life surrounded by the family and friends she nurtured, inspired, cared for, and prayed after and leaves a lasting legacy of love and memories. Peggy will be missed and honored every day by her children and children-in-law, Artie, Karen, MaryAnn, and Dan; her grandchildren and grandchildren-in-law Katie, Marybeth, Evan, Michael, Allyn, Megan, Andrew, Stephen, Dan, Carly, Kristen, and Tim; and her great-grandchildren Elias, Liam, Aaliyah, and Willa. Peggy will be welcomed in Heaven by her devoted husband of more than 60 years, Arthur. Honor Peggy’s memory by saying a rosary, spreading kindness, cheering for the Islanders, and telling your family and friends how much you love them. Friends may call Monday June 20th, 4-8pm at the Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes, 47 Jerusalem Avenue, Hicksville. Funeral Mass Tuesday 11:30am at Our Lady of Mercy, 500 S. Oyster Bay Road, Hicksville. In lieu of flowers donations to the New York Islanders Children’s Foundation will be appreciated.
