Margaret Woska

Margaret Woska (Margie) passed from this life into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, on October 15, 2020.  Margaret’s devotion to our heavenly father served as an inspiration to us all.

A member of the parish of St. Aidan, Williston Park and The Catholic Daughters of America, Margaret lived the word of God in everything she did. She was called home and has reunited with her beloved Donald, husband of 52 years.

Margie was born February 1st, 1931 to Bridget and Thomas Fallon. Loving sister of Thomas Fallon and Alice Malta. She married Donald Woska and welcomed four sons; Donald (Sue), Joseph (Ji Youn), Thomas (Marlene) and James (Rosalie). Forever devoted to motherhood and family, Margie enjoyed hosting Sunday roast beef dinners filled with laughter and good natured political sparring. One of her greatest joys was traveling with her boys to their vacation home in Spencer, NY and sharing the joy and wonder of nature.

A fun and energetic grandmother to Christopher, Nicholas, Stephen, Daniel, Charlotte and Kevin, Margie was always present and proudly on call for every occasion from babysitting to soccer games. Nothing gave her greater pleasure than the presence of her grandchildren.

Margie can be best remembered in the community by her daily attendance at Mass and almost every Herricks football, wrestling and lacrosse game, spanning two generations of sons and grandsons. She took great pride in her incredibly loud support and was credited for galvanizing the participating Highlanders and boosting morale.
