Mary Jeannette (“Jeannette”) O’Sullivan of Powell, OH and formerly Floral Park, NY, passed away at the age of 86 in Columbus, OH on Feb. 19, 2019, surrounded by her adoring family. Predeceased by her loving husband, John Michael (Jack) O’Sullivan Sr., her parents Dr. Raymond Patrick Boyle and Helen Gertrude (Fowler) Boyle, and siblings Raymond and Peter Boyle and Helen Ann Rosenbauer. She is survived by her children, John Michael O’Sullivan Jr. (Beth), Jean Mary Supron (Peter), Peter Joseph O’Sullivan (Gina) and Timothy Robert O’Sullivan (Barbara), as well as 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Born and raised in Floral Park, NY, Jeannette attended Our Lady of Victory Elementary School and the Mary Louis Academy. She earned her undergraduate degree from the College of Notre Dame – Maryland and her master’s degree from St. John’s University. After graduation, she did food science research for Pfizer in Brooklyn.
A devout Catholic, Jeannette was an avid reader, cook and gardener. She devoted herself to charitable causes including Covenant House and the Mercy League (past President). She followed her daughter Jean Mary to Ohio after the death of her husband. She was humble, quick to laugh and loved being with her family.
