Thomas A. McCue passed away on April 9, 2018 after a long illness. He was born on April 24, 1953, son of Martin G. McCue and Florence Gleason McCue who have predeceased him. He was raised in Woodside, Queens and attended St. Sebastian’s School, Power Memorial Academy and CCNY. He had a long career as a purchasing agent for Hobb (Holt) Electric and later at Midtown Electric. He was a proud member of IBEW Local 3.
Tom loved history, politics and baseball and he prided himself on knowing and sharing facts and statistics about all three. Most of all, Tom enjoyed making people laugh using his quick, unique and very memorable style. His sons were the center of his universe.
He is survived by his two devoted and loving sons Matthew McCue of Massapequa Park and Ryan McCue and his wife Lisa of Fresh Meadows. He is also survived by his brother, Martin McCue and his sister, Florence McCue, and her children, Michael Litavec and his wife Sara, and his niece Jacqueline Newbey and her daughters, Alexandra and Mariah.
In addition, he leaves behind a few close friends and also his forever family: Donna, Janet, Lisa and Erik Wolf and their spouses and children and Larry’s Spouse and Children. Larry Wolf, his brother-in-law and his step daughter Kristen Laurite have predeceased him.
