Warren Paul Gluck, of Hicksville, passed away on April 29th.
Warren Gluck was born in Mineola NY to David and Gloria Gluck on August 29th, 1954. Beloved son, brother, uncle, and cousin to the Gluck family, that will hold him in their hearts forever. He went to school at Hicksville High School and studied Speech/Language Pathology at St. John’s University.
Warren worked as a world renown DJ for over 45 years, beginning his career in the 1970s. Just a few years into his career, he took the world by storm, spinning at some of the most notorious clubs in the metropolitan NYC area. Warren’s musical style was known for being upbeat and festive with seamless transitions. He had a vast repertoire of experience and knowledge in his craft. Among these noteworthy accomplishments include being a resident DJ for over 25 years at the Monster, a resident DJ for 5 years at the Saint, and playing numerous circuit parties throughout the country. Among these include countless sets at the Pines Party Fire Island, gay pride celebrations in NYC, San Francisco, Boston and Phoenix, Mardi Gras and Southern Decadence in New Orleans, and the Black and White Party in New York. Warren also worked for Atlantis Events Cruises as a resident DJ, where he traveled globally leaving an international impact that inspired many. He brought together the LGBTQ+ community with his passion and through the power of his music.
Aside from his everlasting impact through music, he was a tech genius, roller coaster fanatic, snoopy enthusiast, holiday light aficionado, and ardent gardener. Warren was an influential member in his neighborhood of Hicksville. Countless families traveled to his home during the holiday season to see his Snoopy Spectacular light show, that was featured in Newsday several times.
Warren Gluck was loved and respected by so many and will be missed dearly. His legacy and impact will never be extinguished.
